Microsoft Excel 2016: A New Course

Microsoft Office products are everywhere! You can use them effectively to improve your ability to do your job efficiently and effectively. Simona Millham’s Microsoft 2016 course is designed for users with limited spreadsheet skills to advanced users. This course starts with basic spreadsheet skills and quickly moves to more advanced functions such as data visualization, charts or PivotTables, What If Analysis, templates, and other useful features.
Simona was kind enough to share her thoughts about her new course.
Q: Why should companies teach their IT staff Microsoft Excel 2016? What is the value? Excel 2016 is a tool that almost everyone uses, but only 10% of it’s capabilities are used. This course will help leaners maximize the technology they have and change the way they work with data.
Q: What was your perspective as a learner when creating this course? It was difficult because so many people use Excel these days. Although I wanted it to be accessible to Excel newbies, I also wanted it to be interesting to existing Excel users. Even seasoned Excel users will benefit from these tips and tricks. Excel has some very specific uses (for statisticians or engineers, for instance). I tried to keep this course as mainstream as possible, but not skimping on the most interesting stuff.

Q: Which real-world application can someone expect to use after taking this course? You will discover new and exciting ways to visualize data and analyze it.
Q: Which was your favorite Nugget you created? Excel 3D Maps, Interactive Reports using Power View and Data Visualization.
Q: What is the most important thing that you hope learners will take away from this training program? Excel is more than adding numbers to a column.
