“It’s not about what you do, it’s how you do it.” That’s what defines your career”- Carlton Fisk.
According to the quote, I am a cheerful person who is self-motivated, creative, and passionate. I also persevere through the challenges my job brings. Because I enjoy my work, I am enthusiastic about it. I am always looking for ways to improve and reach the pinnacle. I thrive on challenges and set myself goals to reach them on a regular basis. I am motivated by challenges.
My experience in IT includes over nineteen years. I am proficient in cloud to cloud, virtual machine-to-cloud, and physical to clouds conversion. We have moved over 800 servers to AWS/Azure using different migration tools. Five AWS certifications, GCP professional certification and Oracle Certified DBA certificate. Experience in databases, DevOps, and LAMP stack performance tuning. I am open to new ideas at any moment.
Collaboration is a way to show respect and cooperate. I am responsible and attentive to the tasks given to me. Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh is where I was born. I love spending my vacations in the mountains listening to music and driving long distances. I am comfortable with people who are simple-minded and down to Earth.
How did you get started with AWS? What attracted you to learning AWS?
Since 2012, I have been using AWS. It’s been seven year. It is a habit of mine to set higher goals. This is my most important motto. My career began as a standard PC technician. I worked on storage, printers, displays, and servers. I earned the Oracle DBA Professional certification after studying databases. Next, I was a DBA for a project that involved Indian railroads. Since the beginning of my career, I have always been ahead of the curve. I was astonished to see the market rapidly moving to the cloud in 2010-2011. I started working with AWS in 2012.
What do you understand by AWS?
It is Infrastructure as Service with many features/services that can handle any type or workload better than any other cloud platform.
Clarify the main components of AWS
The principle components are Compute and Storage, Network, Database, and Network. Rest are support services.
How did you get started in your career as a fresher?
My success motto is “be curious and learn as much as possible.” My career began as a Desktop Engineer. However, as I grew older, I was offered the opportunity to work on storage, servers, and printers. I was able to fix displays, PCBs, SMPS, and other things. I am always glad to say that I have had the chance to work with very old computers such as the i386, i486 and dot matrix printers. I have worked in several companies and learned LINUX, UNIX and Windows. I became an Oracle DBA Professional after studying databases. My curiosity led me to the cloud-based way of working. I started as a Desktop Engineer and worked my way up to become a Senior Engineer, Team Leader/Group Leader, Solution Architect, Developer Head, Technical Head, Consultant, Business Head, Technical Head, Business Head, and Consultant. I’m content because I’m well-versed with a variety technologies. “I’m working with the IT industry trend, from i386 and Cloud computing,” I like this to say.
How valuable is it to earn an AWS Developer Associate certification?
It all depends on the person’s long-term professional goals. My coworkers and friends tell me that they should first decide what they want out of life and then seek the appropriate certifications. The Developer Associate Certificate is a great way to get into the DevOps or development environment on AWS. There are many job opportunities at the L1 or L2 level in companies that use AWS to develop their DevOps practices.
What advice would you give to aspiring AWS Developer Associates?
My advice is to start by deciding what you want from your life. If you find working in a DevOps environment or development environment appealing, then go for it. To get started in DevOps, you need to become a developer associate. After earning your Developer Associate Certificate, you can pursue an AWS DevOps professional credential if you are looking for a better career and less competition.
